Power is the ability to achieve purpose. In times of chaos, purpose keeps us centered. Once we have a purpose—any type of goal we would like to see fulfilled—breaking that purpose down into specific actions allows us to actually make that purpose a reality.

Lacking a purpose, going into any room with no goal or meaning as to being there, brings us toward aimlessness. Aimlessness kills change.

We always have time to work toward being our nobler selves. We just use our time to not be. Self-transformation is about putting down old, destructive habits, and picking up new, constructive habits.

Opportunity to transform yourself is ever-present. And we’re all already available. Grasp onto your cultural and spiritual power. Thinking globally and act locally.

Start a conversation. Dive deeper in the conversations you’re having. Read a book those 30 minutes you would have otherwise spent on your phone. 

Forces of darkness are ever-present too. All over the world, fascist forces are stepping into power. Be the pressure that keeps the moral arc of the universe bent toward justice. Change is not permanent. Change must be maintained.

When we embrace the injustices of society as our responsibility, maintaining the life of hope becomes all the more easy.
