“How do we keep hope alive? What can we do? You have to do something good every day. It all begins with personal conduct, which we all are responsible for.” –Dan Greenspan

Our online leadership seminar with Dan Greenspan, our youth and staff focused on what each of us can do each day to transform ourselves to make change in the world. Dan breaks it down to simple building blocks like waking up early to engage in things “that are not plugged in” like reading, study, connecting with others in meaningful ways, self care and most of all being involved with community and civic engagement.

Dan is a musician, culture-keeper and community leader who lives in Vermont. He travels with us each summer on our multi-state civic engagement tours fulfilling many vital functions including cooking and teaching about the important roles of music and culture in bringing people together and driving social change.

The Freedom Center continues to turn on a dime, increasing our online classes and sessions during the shelter-in-place order. We are bringing experts from around the world with feet-on-the-ground experience in organizing, civic engagement and public service together with our youth and staff.

This is an excellent time to study the relevance and importance of transforming ourselves to make change in the world.
